Small Power Solutions

In a grid-down situation, having the ability to charge basic things or run small necessary medical equipment can make all the difference.  Also, having a little light when it gets dark can be a huge morale booster.  The Onite light listed below runs off of a power bank.  You can pick those up at any big box store and it's always good to have a few on hand.  I would look for power banks that are 10,000mah and up.

The 100-watt kit from Harbor Freight was my first experience with solar.  I bought that and a 35 amp hour battery, with the 400-watt inverter linked below.  The kit contains everything a person needs to set up a simple system.  It even comes with two lights that plug directly into the charge controller.

Listed below are some basic solar equipment and lights.
